The West Virginia Law Review invites you to attend its upcoming “Education Law Symposium.” The Symposium will take place on February 22, 2019, at the West Virginia University College of Law in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Law Review editors have selected essays for publication in a special Symposium issue of the West Virginia Law Review. The conference seeks to examine the landmark West Virginia Supreme Court decision of Pauley v. Kelly, where the Court held that education is a fundamental right and declared the State’s education financing system unconstitutional. Discussion will further touch upon the recent teacher strikes and education law in areas of higher learning.

The West Virginia Law Review is a professional journal that publishes articles of interest to legal scholars, students, legislators, and members of the practicing Bar. Founded in 1894, it is the fourth oldest student-governed law review in the nation.
